How auto-renew works

Keep a service running automatically, or take control of renewals yourself.

Last reviewed 25 July 2026

Every service has an auto-renew switch on its page, next to the date it's paid through.

With auto-renew on, we raise and settle the renewal shortly before it's due — charging your saved card, or emailing you the invoice if there's no card on file — so the service keeps running without a gap.

With auto-renew off, the service runs until its paid-through date and then suspends unless you renew it yourself first. We send reminders as the date approaches.

A suspended service is paused, not deleted. Paying the outstanding renewal brings it straight back — but don't leave it indefinitely.

You can also renew early at any time with “Renew now”, which raises the renewal invoice immediately and takes you to pay it.

Still stuck?

Open a ticket and a senior engineer will pick it up — usually the same business day.
