Acceptable use policy
Last updated: 22 July 2026
1. Scope
This policy governs everything you run on Nintech infrastructure — Cloud VPS and GPU compute, managed app hosting and WordPress, game servers, managed databases, object storage, DNS and domains, the CDN and security edge, dedicated servers and colocation, secure email and email delivery, and the VPN. It sits alongside our Terms of Service and forms part of your agreement with us. Where a bespoke engagement has its own written terms, those govern; where they are silent, this policy applies.
2. Lawful use
You may not use our infrastructure to store, host, or transmit content that is unlawful under the law of England and Wales — including material that is defamatory, that infringes another party's intellectual property, or that facilitates fraud. Child sexual abuse material, content that incites violence or terrorism, and content that harasses or threatens a person are never permitted, are removed on discovery, and are reported to the relevant authorities.
3. No spam or bulk unsolicited mail
Our Secure Email and Email Delivery services are for messages your recipients have agreed to receive. You may not send spam or bulk unsolicited mail, use purchased or scraped lists, or relay mail without valid SPF, DKIM, and DMARC and a working unsubscribe path on marketing messages. This reflects UK law (the Privacy and Electronic Communications Regulations) and the shared reputation of the sending infrastructure every customer relies on. Open relays and mail that generates sustained spam complaints will be rate-limited or suspended.
4. No attacks, intrusion, or scanning
Nintech infrastructure may not be used to attack, probe, or interfere with anyone — ours or a third party's. That means no port scanning, vulnerability scanning, or penetration testing of systems you neither own nor have written permission to test; no denial-of-service traffic; no attempts to gain unauthorised access; and no hosting or distribution of malware or phishing pages. Our own security-services engagements are the only exception, and they run under a signed scope.
5. Resource use and fair use
Shared-class services — Cloud VPS, managed hosting, WordPress, and game servers among them — are sized for the workload described on each plan. Network transfer is provided on a fair-use basis, as set out in the Terms: sustained usage far beyond what is normal for your plan may be rate-limited or moved to a plan sized for it, with notice in your ticket. You may not deliberately exhaust the shared CPU, memory, disk, or network that other customers depend on.
6. Cryptocurrency mining
Cryptocurrency mining is not permitted on shared-class resources, or on any plan not sold for it, because it degrades the service for everyone on the same hardware. GPU compute is sold for inference, fine-tuning, and training — not for mining. If you have a genuine mining or blockchain-node workload, speak to us first about dedicated hardware sized and priced for it.
7. Securing what you run
You are responsible for the security of the servers and services we provision for you: the credentials, the software you install, the accounts you create, and the workloads you run. Keep them patched and configured sensibly. A compromised service that is attacking others, sending spam, or serving malware will be suspended to protect the rest of the platform and the wider internet, and we will contact you through your ticket.
8. VPN acceptable use
The Secure VPN is for privacy and for reaching your own systems and networks safely — not a shield for abuse. We keep no activity logs, but that does not make the VPN a place to run attacks, send spam, or commit crimes: abuse traced to a VPN account is handled exactly like abuse from any other service, up to and including termination. You remain responsible for what your users and devices do over it.
9. Reporting abuse and copyright
If something we host infringes your rights or breaches this policy, email abuse@nintech.io with enough detail to identify the content — the URL or IP address, what the problem is, and how to reach you. For a copyright complaint, name the work concerned and confirm that you are the rights-holder or act for them. We review every report, act on the genuine ones, and where content must come down we notify the customer and remove or disable access as the law requires. We do not act on incomplete or bad-faith reports.
10. Enforcement
We would rather fix a problem than end a relationship, so our normal path is proportionate: first a notice in your ticket asking you to put it right, then suspension of the affected service if it is not resolved or the risk continues, and termination only where the breach is serious, repeated, or unlawful. Where the risk to others is immediate — an active attack, a spam run, or illegal content — we may suspend straight away and explain afterwards, as the Terms allow. A suspension for breach of this policy does not entitle you to a refund of the affected period.
11. Changes and governing law
We may update this policy as our services and the law change; material changes carry the date below. It is governed by the law of England and Wales and read together with our Terms of Service and Privacy policy.
