Connect to your server over SSH

Find your server's address and log in for the first time.

Last reviewed 25 July 2026

Your server's IP address is on its service page, under Connection details, with the exact ssh command to copy.

  1. Open the server from “My products”.
  2. Copy the IPv4 address from Connection details.
  3. From a terminal, run: ssh root@your-server-ip
  4. Authenticate with the SSH key you supplied at order time, or the root password from provisioning.

The root password is shown exactly once, on the service page just after provisioning. Save it then — we don't keep a copy we can show you later. If you lose it and can't get in, open a ticket and we'll reset access.

Cloud VPS servers are self-managed: you have full root access and the machine is yours to configure. If you'd rather we ran it for you, ask about our managed options.

Still stuck?

Open a ticket and a senior engineer will pick it up — usually the same business day.
